DIRT AND WATER

Give any boys dirt and water (makes mud) and they are happy campers!

While we were in Texas we took a day to go to the beach. It was early November, probably 70* outside, we had the place to ourselves (big surprise!). The water wasn't nearly as cold as I had imagined. We have only ever been to the pacific ocean and the gulf is so much warmer!

The boys loved being in the water again. The weather had been too cold in Hamilton to swim for quite a few weeks before our trip and these kids love to swim!

Beach combing is just part of the process. Charlie found a tiny crab who entertained us for way longer than necessary!

No trip to the beach is complete without the obligatory sand castle. Of course we buried one of the kids in the sand too (not sure what I did with those pictures?)

Complete with moat and lake, this castle was fun to build.

Then Jackson and Ryan filled cups with sand. Hundreds of little towers all over the beach. After about 30 minutes the boys ran around with water sprayers from the dollar store destroying all the little stacks. They had a lot of fun!

Albeit a little chilly, it was a great beach day. I can only imagine Texas beaches in the summer!
